It saddens me that people do not understand the true meaning of Love and acceptance. Why is it that we think that we have to conform to political correctness to get along with our fellow man? Why can we not see that we are all here to love one another and if we do that, then we would not have to worry about hurting someones feelings. I judge a person on their character. Not their race, religion, looks or how much money they make. Just who they are in general. If you treat me with love and respect I will return the same to you. If you do not treat me with love and respect, I will say God Bless. I will still love you as the spirit you are, but I do not have to like the person you are.
As I sit here in tears over this matter I am ashamed and hurt that I have let someone get to me and to allowed myself to feel anger at this person. I am tired of being told what is politically correct and how to conduct myself. I was brought up to say Merry Christmas and to me that was one of the most wonderful things a person could say to another. It is the one time of year that we as people share love and kindness to one another. I, like alot of people at this time of year have a hard time with depression and if I can see just a glimmer of love towards one another, man kind, It helps to raise my spirits. I do not care if you say Happy Holidays or whatever it is that you feel is the right thing to say. I just want to hear it being said! I do not feel that because I say Merry Christmas that I am insulting a religious group or a race of people. When I say Merry Christmas it is coming from my heart and soul and I feel like I have made a positive connection with a fellow human being. Why do we have to put so much emphasis on what is right or wrong to say in front of others that may not have the same beliefs as ours? I, in my heart feel, that as long as I am saying kind loving words to another, no matter what their beliefs are, that I am treating them as an equal human being. Not someone I have to walk softly around because I may insult them with my kind words. Why do people feel it is necessary to assume that we have to treat others differently? I have many kind loving friends from all over the world. Different shapes, religions, races etc. I do not see my friends as anything more or less than just what they are. My friends. I have so much love in my heart to give and I want to give it. I do not need to be told how I am supposed to greet another or how I should act. That is the problem right there. Act. If I am acting I am not being true to myself or others. I have decided not to act, I will just be me and be proud of who I am and what I stand for. I may not be perfect and I do not strive to be. I want to love and to be loved just like everyone else. I should not feel like I have to be afraid to speak my true thoughts in my own words. I am a human, not a robot. Since I have free will over my live. I forgive myself for allowing me to get angry. I am in charge of my destiny and I will live the life I choose and do the best I can for myself and my fellow man. Love to all. Merry Christmas!

There is so much sadness and violence in our world today. Everywhere you look, you are seeing some type of negative energy. The News. Hate crimes. Bullying. Corrupt politicians and big corporation leaders. Even the commercials that we watch on tv. You know the ones. Miracle weight loss pills or programs, look younger in 7days, hair loss procedures. What does this tell us as people? That if we are not a certain size or body shape, or if we look our age and lord forbid a man is balding, There is something drastically wrong with us! We chase every miracle cure trying to be someone that society will accept and look up to. We are lulled into the thought that there really is no hope of a perfect world. How can one person stop the violence, hate, corruption and lies that we are constantly being bombarded with? I am only one person and I have no idea how to fight this. If I speak up I will be ridiculed or worse. It is not my problem to fix. There is nothing I can do about any of this. I am happy to have what I have. These are things that we tell ourselves every single day of our lives. If we see a person in need, we pass them as if we do not see them. People have been beaten, while many others have stood around and watched or video taped the event. No one wants to get involved for fear of being hurt themselves and that is reality. We are living in a world where fear controls every ounce of our soul. We are constantly under the eye of the law. Security cameras on street corners, in malls, workplaces. Pretty much everywhere. Nothing we do or say is sacred anymore. In most cases this is a good thing. If it is used in the right way. These security devices have helped save lives and find the criminals that have committed the act. Sadly negativity is all around us and that is just a fact. I have learned to accept this but for me, that is not enough. So I have decided to see the positive in our world. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a news program that focused just on the good in the world? Imagine watching positive media and how much happier you will feel. Stop and really look at all the good being done out there. It is there if only you will open your eyes and hearts to it. The next time you go to buy your morning cup of coffee at Timmies, why not pay for the person in the car behind you. The feeling of happiness and joy of doing just that one simple good deed is just amazing and it sets the tone for the rest of the day! Always make eye contact with others and give them a huge smile and let them know someone has noticed them. Just by doing that you have changed the energy of that other person and yours into positive. Hold a door open for someone. Buy a gift for a child in need at Christmas time. Always treat children with love and respect. As we know they are our future. Why not start teaching our children about love for one another and acceptance of all? Lets stop labelling others by the colour of their skin, religious beliefs and for the crimes that some of their people have committed. We can not paint everyone with the same brush. This is what the Government wants us to do. They want us to fear one another and fill our heads with hate. We were created in love and are meant to live in love. Please just take some time each day out of your busy life and truly look at what beauty is around you. Listen to the sounds of nature, the birds, crickets. The sound of the wind blowing through the trees. Smell the air, go for walks in nature. Open your heart and soul to others and try to accept them for who they are. Do not judge until you know their story. It is amazing what you will learn when you just open your heart and truly listen to another. Take notice of the people around you. You may see a young man holding a door open for someone. A person stopping traffic to help an animal off the road. Someone giving food to another that is homeless. If you look for it I promise you will find it. If you do this on a daily basis and in turn tell others about this it will be like a chain reaction. So really in essence one person can change the world. If we all work together it can be done. Start thinking for yourself and not what someone else is telling you to do. We were all given free will and it is time to start using it. Most importantly. Learn to love yourself. You are perfect the way you are!
Smile and know you are loved.
